Preview:
Chelsea assistant manager Roberto Di Matteo has not given up on the Barclays Premier League title but admitted the FA Cup is Chelsea's best chance of silverware this season. The Blues host Portsmouth at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, the side they beat at Wembley to lift the trophy in 2010.Di Matteo said: "We are in three competitions.
At the moment you look at it and probably think the FA Cup is our best chance but we are still in the Champions League and in the Premier League we are in a better position than last season."We will look at putting out the strongest team we have on Sunday.''

Di Matteo will come up against Portsmouth boss Michael Appleton on Sunday, a man he knows well from their days together at West Brom."He was my first-team coach,'' said Di Matteo, the former manager at The Hawthorns. "He has improved their performances and position in the table."He always told me he had ambitions to become a manager and I wasn't surprised when he was appointed at Portsmouth.''Chelsea will be without Didier Drogba and Saloman Kalou. The club attempted to delay the pair's departure to the African Nations Cup but had a request turned down by the Ivory Coast.

Chelsea have injury concerns over John Terry, who has been struggling with a knee injury. A decision will made on his fitness for the game after training on Saturday.Appleton sees no reason why his side cannot repeat their FA Cup heroics of four years ago.In 2008 Harry Redknapp's Pompey went to Old Trafford in the quarter-finals and stunned Manchester United 1-0 on their way to lifting the trophy.Administration and relegation have since taken their toll at Fratton Park, with Pompey now 17th in the npower Championship and yet again looking for new owners, and Appleton admits a win at Stamford Bridge would be an even more impressive achievement than victory over United.

"It would be bigger than that, because a lot has happened to Portsmouth since then,'' he said at his pre-match press conference."We're in the Championship now with a small squad and a lot of players who are coming towards the end of their careers."But we're in good form lately and hopefully we can be one of those teams around the country celebrating a shock this weekend."Chelsea haven't had a fantastic first half to the season, but they had a good win at Wolves earlier this week which will have lifted them, and this is a competition they want to win."We just have to hope they go into the game with the attitude that they're facing a side in the bottom half of the Championship, and that we then catch them off guard.''

Greg Halford and Joel Ward return to the Portsmouth squad, but Ricardo Rocha and Luke Varney are doubtful.Full-back Halford and midfielder Ward were ruled out of Monday's 2-0 win over Watford through suspension after collecting five yellow cards this season. But centre-half Rocha is still struggling with the calf injury which has kept him out of the last two matches and although striker Varney is close to recovering from a knee problem he is unlikely to be risked in the cup. There will be a change at left-back after Joe Mattock returned to West Brom at the end of his loan spell.
